Veterinary oral liquid bottles are special packaging used to contain traditional Chinese medicine and veterinary drug solutions. With the vigorous promotion of the concept of green breeding, traditional Chinese medicine and veterinary drugs have gradually become a trend, and the demand for this kind of packaging is also increasing. The quality of packaging is related to the stability of drugs, so what are the quality requirements in the industry standards for this kind of packaging?
Currently, veterinary traditional Chinese medicine oral liquid bottles comply with the group standard T/CVDA 6-2019 for the "Veterinary Oral Liquid Heat-Sealable Gasket Plastic Bottles" issued by the China Veterinary Association. The quality requirements in the standard are as follows:
1. Appearance quality requirements:
Bottle mouth: The end surface of the bottle mouth should be smooth, without chips, and there should be no clogging defects in the bottle mouth;
Bottle body: full shape, uniform color, no obvious color difference, no blisters, no oil stains, no bubbles, no deformation, no obvious shrinkage, no obvious scratches;
Bottle bottom: the bottle can stand stably;
Lid: The lid should be fully formed, uniform in color, no obvious color difference, no oil stains, no obvious shrinkage, clean threads, and no deformation;
Gasket: The surface of the sealing gasket should be smooth and clean, without wrinkles, perforations, or stains. The composite film and cardboard should not be separated or fall out of the cover.
2. Characteristic indicators:
Identification: It should be basically consistent with the control chart;
Sealing: There should be no water intrusion or bubbling inside the bottle;
Resistant to drops: should not break;
Residue on ignition*: ≤0.1% (residue left in bottles containing sunscreen ≤3.0%);
Extractable matter test*: Clarity: The solution should be clear; PH change value: ≤1.0; Heavy metals: no more than one part per million; Easy oxidants: ≤1.5ml; Non-volatile matter: water ≤12.0mg; Absorbance: ≤0.10 ;
Heat sealing strength: not less than 7.0N/15mm;
Decolorization test: The color of the soaking solution should not be darker than the blank solution;
Microorganisms: The number of bacteria in each bottle must not exceed 100cfu, the number of molds and yeasts in each bottle must not exceed 100cfu, and Escherichia coli must not be detected;
Unusual Toxicity*: There should be no unusual toxicity.
The above are the quality requirements for veterinary traditional Chinese medicine oral liquid bottles in the industry standards. Items marked with * should be inspected at least once every six months. This is also to better ensure the quality of the product.
